Why Do Garage Floors Crack?

Over time, concrete floors can become brittle, and as a result cracks appear starting small and then gradually getting bigger as the ground may shift underneath or frequent use of the surface causes move pressure across the surfaces. Common types of repairs are; surface cracks, pitting and spalling.

Common Treatments

The most common treatments for repairing cracked garage floors are done using epoxy, polyurethane, or ployurea. These compounds are often used as they cure and harden more than the concrete and prevent water intrusion. They can then be sanded down flush to result in the smooth surface.
